Very noisy location, loud bar noises and street noises Old building that should not be used as a hotel/B&B anymore. You can hear every step and every word in the hallway, upstairs room and next door room. The rate was OK but not great for what you get.
I really enjoyed the food the we got the breakfast and a main course, The main was only 10 euro and the breakfast was only 5 euro. The bar had a graet irish band and the location was perfect 2 min walk to dublins oconnell st.
The only thing was the shower tray was dirty and the rooms where small but it was cheap, but the food staff band were fantastic
O' Shea's is a very basic hotel, the staff were lovely and friendly. The room was clean. However the shower would not be suitable for elderly people or those who have a physical condition as there is a step up into it and the shower unit is quite small. The food is excellent as we had a light meal when we arrived but they could have had the baguette crustier. The full Irish was superb kept us going till 6:00pm that evening. I also say well done on the price of the miller and carlsberg keep that offer going and they will be doing well. Location was brilliant as you are literally only minutes away from O'Connell Street the heart of Dublin City Center. It's cheap and cheerful
The shower cubicle. It could do with refurbishment brightened the place up a bit.
I was v disappointed by our stay in O'Shea's. Firstly, as 2 girls, we had booked a twin room and ended up with a double bed. The room was tiny and didn't look anything like the pictures on the website. It was grubby and sank of cigarettes. We had no privacy and our bathroom window overlooked the main street and wasn't frosted. So we had to pull back grubby curtains if we wanted to use the bathroom. The shower was dirty, so we wouldn't use it, the room was boiling and there was no air conditioning. We had to open the window for some air, but couldn't sleep with the noise of traffic. At best, I would describe the whole place as a 'bedsit' for a working man.
Reception staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was wonderful. Location was perfect for touring Dublin.
We had a surly server in the bar who refused to clear a dirty table.
too high price for such lack of quality, in the bathroom a lot of mold and fungi, rooms dirty and noisy, no internet, no TV remote, ugly greasy breakfast. Under the hotel there was a PUB and all the noise was heard in the rooms. Pictures of bathroom on this website are different than we had in reality.
The staff were very helpful and a good location.
Basic room-but comfortable enough for a 1 night stay. Good position for central Dublin-not far off O'Connell Street. Full Irish breakfast was very good.
Our room was at the front of the hotel-looking towards a busy cross road- which unfortunately made it very noisy from both traffic/people and the bleeping of the crossings-so quite a disturbed night.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much and they made our stay there all the more enjoyable.
Sise of ensuite was a bit small
It was very central for Dublin City and the price was good. It was clean and the staff were friendly enough. The food was also good and well priced. You get what you pay for and so I was pleased with my stay there and I would certainly go back there.
The traffic was a bit noisy at night, but then I was in a front room. It was not in the nicest area of Dublin but then again it was only a 5 minute walk to O'Connell Street.
The hotel is very well located, right near shops and supermarkets and just a few minutes from Connolly Station and O’Connell Street, with bus and airport shuttle stops. Although a little old, the building has its charm, my room was tidy and clean and the bathroom with bathtub was spacious. The staff was nice and friendly and the restaurant served very good food: don’t miss the full Irish breakfast! Nice experience, I would definitely come back again.
Close to town, friendly and good value
Location was good, close to major sites, but not too close that noise was a problem.
Room was small. Not many amenities
O'Shea's is located in a very good area, with easy access to the tourist attractions in Dublin.
Good value for money and great entertainment on evenings
